Dr. Robert Doshier
Dr.
Robert C. Doshier is a graduate of Harrison High School, the University
of Arkansas, and Louisiana State University School of Dentistry. He has
practiced dentistry since 1990 in his home town of Harrison.
Dr. Doshier and his
wife, Elizabeth Crowder Doshier, married when they were in college at
Fayetteville. They have two children, Jackson, born in 1995, and Claire,
born in 2001.
Bill
and Frances Doshier are Dr. Doshier's parents. They are retired from their
occupations as an attorney and a school teacher.
Dr. Doshier is an outdoorsman,
enjoying hunting, fishing, and golf.
A
mission trip to Africa in March of 2003 found Dr. Doshier taking his medical
skills to the people in the West African village of Etiolo, Senegal, 750
kilometers inland from the west African coast.
"With no electricity or running water, we could only do extractions.
But, the whole village turned out because they knew that they probably
wouldn't have the chance to see a dentist for several months or longer."
Dr. Doshier was invited to accompany a local group from the North Arkansas
Baptist Association. He is a member of a Presbyterian congregation. The
Christian group ministered to hundreds of people who were not fortunate
enough to be born in a country with easy access to medical and dental
care.
"The trip to Senegal was a great experience for me and I appreciate
all of the help that I received from my staff, my family, my church family,
and my friends that enabled me to go."
